Zhang Shuai’s professional tennis career rose to a higher level of success, when her high singles world ranking reached No.23 in November 2016.
She however reached No.3 in the ranking on June 13, 2022, in the world’s tennis history.
The Chinese tennis player was amongst five other players which include, including Zheng Jie, Li Na, Peng Shuai and Li Na, who managed to participate in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam contest.
On November 2, 2021, she revealed the circumstances which led to her retirement from professional tennis play in an interview which was published in the media news.
